Priority Life Care CEO Sevy Petras elected to Argentum board of directors

Sevy Petras, CEO and co-founder of Priority Life Care, has recently been elected to the board of directors of Argentum, the leading national trade association serving companies that own, operate, and support professionally managed senior living communities in the United States, effective immediately.

As an Argentum board member, Petras will help support and enhance the organization’s advocacy efforts on behalf of the industry on a number of key initiatives, including working to increase access and affordability of assisted living so more Americans can plan and meet their caregiving needs and increase investments in workforce development including recruitment, training, and retainment programs, and more.

“I am honored to be elected by my industry peers to join the Argentum board of directors,” Petras said. “This organization does incredibly important work advocating for choice, independence, dignity, and quality of life for all older adults, and I look forward to working with my fellow board members to support the Argentum team in these efforts.”

Petras is one of 10 prominent industry leaders elected to serve on the Argentum board, joining Guy Gellar, president of Grace Management; Kai Hsaio, CEO of Senior Living with Keppel Capital; Laura Landwirth president and CEO of LeadingAge Colorado; Diana Martinez, president and CEO of Texas Assisted Living Association; John Olympitis, head of corporate development at WellTower; Justin Skiver, president and CEO of ProMedica; Gary Smith, president and CEO of Vi; Zeta Smith, CEO, North America Seniors of Sodexo; and Chad White, EVP and General Counsel, Brookdale Senior Living.

Argentum member companies operate senior living communities offering assisted living, independent living, continuing care, and memory care services. Along with its state partners, Argentum’s membership represents approximately 75 percent of the senior living industry—an industry with a national economic impact of nearly a quarter of a trillion dollars and responsible for providing over 1.6 million jobs.
