Life is the Journey Where We Connect to One Another
Along the Journey is Priority Life Care’s dedicated memory care program. The Along the Journey program was created for residents, or “neighbors”, with memory impairments. Our program fosters meaningful relationships between families, caregivers, and residents, ensuring each neighbor receives the support they need. The journey begins with a smooth transition into a new environment, setting the foundation for success.
Goals of Along the Journey
Say goodbye to the worries of home maintenance. At Priority Life Care, we handle all upkeep, allowing residents to enjoy a carefree lifestyle. Our communities are designed to foster independence, with convenient services that make daily life easier. From housekeeping to maintenance, we’ve got everything covered so you can focus on what truly matters—living your best life.
Along The Journey
Using Activities to Enrich Our Lives
The Along the Journey program uses activities to promote physical exercise, stimulate mental activity, and maintain social and spiritual connections. Our structured daily routines help residents feel secure and reduce anxiety. Activities are designed to match their abilities and interests, encouraging active participation and social engagement.
Popular activities include:
- Morning coffee – hydration and news
- Music Therapy
- Spiritual programs
- Ice cream socials
- Reminiscing
- Trivia and puzzles
- Pet therapy
Life stations are set up to provide residents with a sense of purpose and accomplishment—such as folding clothes, or sitting at a desk and typing on a typewriter or computer. Late-afternoon activities and one-on-one sensory activities are designed to minimize agitation and help residents relax and have a good night’s rest.
Throughout the day, we celebrate each small success, focusing on residents’ strengths rather than limitations, to maintain their sense of independence and self-worth.
“Experience the compassionate care and enriching activities of the Along the Journey program, where each day is structured to enhance the well-being and quality of life for our memory care residents.”
