Severine Petras to be Honored with a McKnight’s Women of Distinction Award

Severine “Sevy” Petras, CEO and Co-Founder of Priority Life Care, has been inducted into the Hall of Honor in the McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards, a joint program of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care.

This prestigious recognition celebrates Sevy’s outstanding contributions to the senior living industry, from her entrepreneurial leadership in growing Priority Life Care and her dedication to providing innovative and affordable senior living options, to her active role in shaping industry standards through board positions with NIC, Argentum, ASHA, and FSLA. Known for her commitment to an employee-first culture and her personal mission to uplift women in the industry through her “Her Stories” podcast, Petras embodies the values of compassionate leadership and collaborative problem-solving, making her a true champion for seniors and caregivers alike. Her intentional approach and belief in the power of industry-wide cooperation make this award a fitting tribute to her unwavering dedication to advancing the senior living sector.

The program, in its seventh year, recognizes women who have made a significant impact on their organization or in the industry. Hall of Honor inductees are senior level professionals in the C-suite or at a level equivalent to vice president or higher.

Other honorees working directly for long-term care providers also will be recognized in the following categories: Veteran VIP, Rising Star and Spirit Award. Additionally, the Commercial Excellence Award will recognize women working at vendor companies that provide products or services to senior living, skilled nursing or home care providers.

Nominations were judged by an external panel of industry experts. All winners will be honored at an in-person celebration on May 13 in Chicago.
