We get to know the residents’ likes, dislikes, and daily structure to create a peaceful environment for each of our neighbors to enjoy. Our cozy community provides a homelike environment, including comfortable living spaces, life enrichment activities, and a satisfying dining experience.

    Along the Journey

Each of our apartments is private with a private bathroom. There are many common areas for socializing and relaxing. Our community is an affordable senior living option. We accept private pay, veterans’ Aid and Attendance, managed care, and long-term care insurance.

    Life Enrichment Programming

Harmony House’s specialized Life Experiences department was created to deliver activities based on each resident’s cognitive and physical abilities. Each experience or activity is specifically chosen to connect and relate to our residents.

Popular activities include morning coffee (hydration) and news, listening to music, spiritual programs, ice cream socials, reminiscing, trivia, and puzzles. Life stations may be set up to create an atmosphere where residents feel a sense of purpose. They may fold clothes or sit at a desk and type on a typewriter or computer. One-on-one sensory activities may also be used to help residents relax and have a good night’s rest.

Caring for dementia is what we do. Each resident is surrounded by an environment tailored for those with the unique challenges of memory loss, creating a special experience for our residents.

    Dining Program

At Harmony House, our meals are home-cooked, and we may offer an alternative menu if residents are not interested in the daily menu. Meals are served by our friendly staff in small courses. In addition, we are very accommodating to our residents’ tastes, preferences, and food allergies.

Testimonial

“My 89-year-old mother was cared for in an exceptional manner from day one. I found kindness, compassion, and a gentle spirit from every person there. The director helped us with a difficult situation, and the nursing and caregiver staff was friendly and emotionally invested in her. I can find zero negatives from top to bottom. I was completely sure that every day was pleasant for my mother until the end of her life.”
